Construction Training Manager

Overview
V Selective are recruiting on behalf of a well established, East Midlands based Training Provider organisation, who are looking to appoint a Contruction Training Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Coordinating the delivery of Construction programmes, ensuring ESFA funding rules are observed
- Leading a team of Trainer Assessors in providing the best quality training and service to learners on Construction Training programmes.
- Raising the achievement of all learners, reinforcing the company’s high expectations of learners regardless of their level and results
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, allocate and monitor the work of Trainer Assessors through the Quality Assurance process, ensuring that staff are delivering and reaching the required outputs and standards
- Carry out planned quality assurance processes
- To maintain own learner caseload ensuring that all EPA/AO/EQA requirements are met.
- To ensure the timely achievement of own and your teams’ learners byproviding support through one to ones and team meetings, ensuring that action plans are put in place where necessary.
- Ensure that all construction workshops / training rooms are adequately stocked at all times with the materials and equipment required for classroom / workshop-based delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers/builders etc. to source materials/tools/equipment
- Liaise regularly with employers
- Organise all EQA visits
- Ensure learners are prepared for Gateway/EPA
Applicants must have:
- Recent, up to date and relevant occupational experience with the capability / flexibility to deliver more than one discipline (multi skilled)
- Proven and recent experience of performing a similar role within the FE sector.
- TAQA assessor and verifier award or equivalent
- A teaching qualification
- A L3 or equivalent qualification in a Construction discipline i.e. Painting & Decorating, Carpentry & Joinery, Brickwork, Plastering.
- Experience of guiding and supporting young people.
- Driving licence and own transport
The following are desirable:
- CSCS card
- IOSH
- An understanding of special education needs
- A level 4 Management qualification
