Salary: £30000 (qualified to PGCE level or equivalent) or £27000 (Unqualified teacher) 
32 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (40 in total)

This organisation currently have an exciting vacancy for a Games Design Tutor to join their team in East London.

We are seeking an outstanding games design tutor with experience in 2D and 3D game production pipelines, an understanding of underlying game design principles and a wider knowledge of the creative media production industries – ideally from working in the Games Design Industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a successful and growing department, within a supportive framework.

Candidates will have maths and English at GCSE grade C / 4 or above and will be educated to degree level with evidence of outstanding practice working in a similar environment.
Applicants will require the ability to empathise with and understand the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high poverty levels, and have the ability to inspire them by developing lessons that can relate to and build on their needs and interests.


  • The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of young people
  • Plan and deliver exciting lessons that support learner progression
  • Ensure learners are retained, achieve their qualifications and progress
  • Ensure the course has a wide range of enrichment including guest speakers and trips
  • Complete learner one to one tutorials and individual learning plans


Technical skills: Essential

  • Programming experience - C#
  • Visual scripting/basic programming skills – Bolt or similar
  • Unity for 3D game production
  • 3D Modelling and texturing – Blender
  • Experience with Photoshop - concept art/textures for games
  • Game design industry planning and research skills
  • Maths for games - GCSE/A-Level level

Technical skills: Desirable

  • Drawing and 2D Art skills
