• Would you like to train to become a Trainer of the next generation of Agricultural Engineers? Or maybe you are already a Trainer of Agricultural, Horticultural, Construction Plant or Rail Engineers, and now you're looking for your next opportunity?
• You will be helping Apprentices to acquire the Land Based Service Engineer (Agricultural Engineer) Level 2 and 3 qualification
• Assessing learners against a set of criteria to assess as to whether they can demonstrate competence in each subject area of Agricultural Engineering, which is why you need to have done this job yourself so you know what skills an Agricultural Engineer needs

• A DBS check prior to the commencement of role is required.

Essential Requirements: Agricultural Engineering Trainer

• A strong and recent background as an Agricultural Engineer, Horticultural Engineer, Construction Plant Engineer or Rail Engineer as you will need to be comfortable with recent technologies such as GPS, Modern Emission Systems, Telemetrics, etc
• Formal qualifications in Agricultural Engineering, Horticultural Engineering, Construction Plant Engineering or Rail Engineering, to a minimum of Level 3
• Experience training either Agricultural Engineers, Horticultural Engineers, Construction Plant Engineers or Rail Engineers in your place of work
• You will be computer literate as all learner records are kept electronically and you must have good keyboarding skills as your reports will be written electronically
• Maths and English GCSE or Functional Skills level 2

Desirables: Agricultural Engineering Trainer

• It would be great if you'd previously worked for a College or Training Provider as a Trainer or Assessor or maybe as part of a training department of a company
• Also great if you possessed formal training or assessing qualifications, but if you don't this company will train you to become a qualified Trainer

The Employer: Agricultural Engineering Trainer

• Recognised as a Centre of Excellence, this Ofsted Grade 2 (across the board) large training provider has grown year upon year its apprenticeship provision and now has over 2,500 apprentices across a broad range of disciplines. This new role has come about due to expansion and the acquisition of several large training contracts with multi-national companies. In a recent Ofsted Inspection it was highlighted that they not only meet learners' but employers' needs to and this is reflected in the type of person they employ on the coal face, so to speak - Trainers Assessors who care about the level of learning provision they offer and the support extended to learners to ensure they complete in a timely fashion. This approach has paid dividends as the results from learners speak for themselves. In addition to their approach to training and development, they can also boast some of the best training facilities in the country for some of their courses.
