We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated, with a proven track record within a target driven environment. The role of Business Development Manager – Employability is a full time, permanent role, pivotal to the ambitious growth plans at CT Skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for engaging with businesses in the East Midlands therefore a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

The Role

You will be engaging and working in partnership with employers to discuss their recruitment needs, liaising with internal stakeholders to set up Sector Based Work Academies across CT Skills training centres across the East Midlands. Creating proposals in line with employer requirements, you will be providing interview feedback and completing reviews with employers to ensure we are exceeding expectations.

You will be proactively promoting CT Skills recruitment, training and development programmes through identifying, engaging and securing new business via outbound sales calls, networking, presentations and face to face meetings. You will maintain effective relationships with internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services.

The Individual

You will need to be self managing and highly motivated with an ability to secure new employer clients through a variety of new business development approaches, including; cold calls, meetings, presentations and events.

Experience of working in a similar role is essential as identifying effective workforce training solutions that address an employer’s current and future business needs will be crucial to your success. Knowledge and experience of Sector Based Work Academies and the Welfare to Work sector is highly advantageous.

You will also be required to be a team player and work closely with colleagues across the business to support the ongoing development of the CT Skills brand and reputation locally, regionally and nationally with emphasis on planning delivery to ensure we maximise our potential classroom delivery model within our Centres.

You will need to be able to demonstrate sales activity and be able to work with employers to identify and plan for their recruitment needs in the future which will enable Centre Managers to maximize classroom based delivery.
