Job Title: SUN Progression Mentor

Hours of Work: 37 Hours per Week

Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term

The Student Support Department is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with experience of Higher Education to join its Careers Centre team.

This post is delivered in conjunction with the Southern Universities Network (SUN), to raise the aspirations of young people to enter into Higher Education

Role Purpose

The SUN Progression Mentor, will work with the careers team at Fareham College to raise the aspirations of young people to consider Higher Education as an option.

Duties

* Provide sound careers, information, advice and guidance to students regarding Higher Education (HE) opportunities
* Organise events and activities that support students to make informed choices of HE
* Support students in making applications to HE

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

* Educated to at least Degree/HND level
* Experience of providing careers, information, advice and guidance to young people
* Proven experience in organising and scheduling events and activities
* The ability to deliver presentations to groups
