Our client is an East Midlands based Training Provider Organisation who help people change their lives, by helping them achieve qualifications and gain new skills. 

They currently have a vacancy for a Quality Manager to join their growing team based in their Central Derby Office. 

The main purpose of this role will be to ensure high quality provision including compliance with external stakeholder requirements eg Ofsted, Matrix, ESFA. You will be responsible for the quality improvement process, ensuring policies and procedures are current and compliant with particular focus on Apprenticeship Standards, ensuring delivery is compliant with ESFA and EPA requirements.


- Proven experience of performing a similar Quality role within the Work Based Learning / Skills sector
- Proven experience of improving quality standards within the WBL sector
- Experience of completing Ofsted / ESFA related activities
- Current knowledge of Apprenticeship delivery within Frameworks and Standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Recognised Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33)
- Recognised Teaching Qualification (PTLLS / AET or above)
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills


- Responsible for managing, improving and reviewing quality processes, to ensure excellent quality is maintained across the business
- Manage all quality inspections from external agencies (Ofsted / Matrix / ESFA etc..) ensuring that all staff involved are prepared for inspections
- Collaborate with team to put in place required quality standards and processes for the company
- Ensure all quality standards and processes are met across the business for all contracts
- Responsible for completing regular Self-Assessment Reports in conjunction with other staff and managers
- Responsible for updating Quality Improvement Plans across the business
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules – with particular focus on Apprenticeships and Standards
- Conduct observations of teaching and learning to ensure quality standards are met at all times
- Work closely with the team to ensure safeguarding protocols are followed across the business and all learners are placed in safe and supported environments
- Implement any changes to quality standards and procedures across the business
- Produce regular reports on quality within the business and present to management / stakeholders
- Coordinate all satisfaction surveys, analysing the data and making changes / delivering training where required
- Ensure that all data collected (from various methods) is processed lawfully and effectively
- Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance.
- Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services
- Demonstration up to date understanding of all contracts, content and eligibility
- Keep up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities
- Provide regular and accurate activity reports
