Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a primary school in Catterick. The school has a vacancy for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to commence a full time position ASAP. The Head Teacher is seeking a committed and motivated HLTA to offer cover and support to the EYFS (Reception) Team. You will need to demonstrate your ability to support children of varying levels of ability to achieve their full potential and support the Class Teacher in driving results forward. You may need to assist in the planning of small intervention sessions for children recognised as being in danger of not accessing the curriculum under the direction of the Class Teacher(s). Therefore, it is crucial that you have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Framework requirements.

Based in a diverse area of Catterick, the school serves a large catchment area and is well resourced. You will become part of a thriving and experienced EYFS team where collaboration is key. The successful applicant will need to show a willingness to engage in the wider life of the school and fully embrace the school ethos. You will need to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and classroom management skills to uphold standards across the school. The Head Teacher is seeking to appoint an individual, who is enthusiastic and passionate about education and helping children to achieve. You must have HLTA Status or have demonstrable experience of working as a HLTA without HLTA status.

* HLTA Status
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of delivering the primary curriculum and supporting teaching and learning in an education setting in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Early Years Framework
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
