Qualified Schools are currently seeking an enthusiastic and responsible candidate for this apprenticeship at a Special School in Oxford.

It's a small school for pupils with a range of additional needs aged 11-18, where children and young people are respected, supported and encouraged.

The position will be full time (35 hours per week) with on-the-job training, and you will receive a qualification after 18 months (Teaching Assistant Level 3).

As an apprentice teaching assistant you will work alongside and support a classroom teacher to give additional instruction and attention to pupils .

The ideal candidate would have some experience in any of the following areas:

* Behaviour specialist/ cognitive behavioural therapy

* Dance/ performing arts

* Numeracy/ literacy support

* Speech and language therapy

* Counselling/ emotional support

* Design and technology

The ideal candidate would display the following personality traits:

* Energy
* Adaptability
* Responsibility

Requirements: Hold 5GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths
