The Role – Maths Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a team of committed professionals to teach Years 7-13, including the IB and A level from January 2017. There is a range of mathematical teaching opportunities for the right candidate. This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or NQT with a passion for Maths. You will be trained in the latest pedagogies and develop your subject expertise at the highest level. A full induction and mentor programme for new staff is in place.

Key Responsibilities – Maths Teacher

*Plan, prepare and teach lessons of the highest quality
*Use the resources of the subject in an effective and imaginative way
*Motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work
*Contribute to the writing and implementation of the subject’s Development Plan
*Set high expectations for students behaviour, learning and motivation
*Respond to professional development opportunities and work within the school’s Continuing Professional *Development Framework, including ICT developments
*Participate in the pastoral organisation of the school as a form tutor, as required
*Support departmental and school approaches to assessment, recording and reporting

Minimum requirements:

*QTS, Degree; PGCE or equivalent qualification
*Experience teaching KS3 & KS4
*Evidence of professional development
*NQT’s are welcome
