Principal Teachers are acting on behalf of a secondary school in the Richmond area. The school currently has a requirement for a Teacher of Boys’ PE to commence a full time role starting as soon as possible until at least November 2017. The successful applicant will work as part of the PE department team to plan and deliver a robust and enriching PE curriculum to boys in KS3 that will instil a love of physical activity and challenge and support boys in Years 7 and 8 to achieve their full potential. You will be required to assess meticulously to cater to the needs of diverse classes and a range of needs and abilities including SEN.

Based in a vibrant area of Richmond, the school is well regarded within the local community and has excellent sports facilities. The successful applicant will be welcomed into a dynamic Physical Education Department with excellent line management and support. You will be encouraged to make full use of the school’s indoor and outdoor resources. The Head Teacher is seeking a professional, who will fully embrace the school’s ethos and show a commitment to participating in the wider life of the school e.g. extra-curricular activities and school trips.

The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for PE (Boys) at KS3 level
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
