Protocol are working with an excellent Further Education College based in Leicestershire. The College are looking to recruit several Learning Support Assistants with a variation of hours and contracts starting in September for the New Academic Year.

Role responsibilities:
• Support the SENDCo in planning for and delivering effective services for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their teachers.
• Support the SENDCo in overseeing interventions for SEND students.
• Consistently promote positive values, attitudes, behaviour, social and emotional development of students.
• Supporting students with a range of additional needs.
• Create a positive environment for all learners to flourish.
• Track the progress of an identified group of SEN students and implement strategies to support said students.

The person and qualifications:
• Education to degree level or A level/equivalent, including English and Maths GCSE A*- C.
• Experience of supporting students with a range of additional needs.
• Knowledge, understanding of assessment and reporting procedures for students with ALS needs.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding/ child protection process.
• DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one prior to September.
