Sad news for the Sector ... Another Training Provider has gone into Administration

St Helens Chamber, a Membership and Training Organisation have gone into Administration, and most of their 71 staff members have been made redundant. Unfortunately this seems like a famliar story, having seen may other Providers have to close over the past couple of years.

As reported by the St Helens Star ' The chamber has appointed administrators and has closed with immediate effect. The award-winning membership and training organisation has cited a "perfect storm" of reductions in government funding, difficulties in generating a surplus from its external services and the hit to its balance sheet from the nationwide fall in office values.'

It has been reported that discussions are under way with the ESFA to help identify new training providers for 260 apprentices, and with other Training Providers to support the young people on their study programmes.
