Desian Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school located in Birkenhead, to recruit a Year 1 Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team from after the October half-term break.
This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for a passionate and proactive individual looking to support young learners in Key Stage 1.
About the Role:
- Supporting Year 1 pupils with daily learning activities
- Working alongside the class teacher and parallel class TA
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and early maths
- Delivering small group interventions where needed
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
What you will need:
- Experience working with children (KS1 experience desirable)
- A patient, nurturing and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one via Desian Education)
