Pengwern College

40 hours per week. Term Time Only

30,000 per annum + Cambian Benefits

Pengwern College is looking to enhance the quality of Education to our Students and are looking for a talented and experienced Tutor to join the team!

Working alongside a supportive and collaborative team, you will be playing an important & rewarding part in providing education to our Students.

About us:

Cambian Pengwern College is an independent provider of specialist further education in North Wales, offering day, and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.

Our person-centred approach ensures that students have an individualised learning programme developed to effectively match their needs, personal decisions and aspirations, be the focus on daily living skills, vocational qualifications or independent living. We are proud that all of our students gain important life skills and achieve meaningful qualifications, evidencing our commitment to enabling increased choice and independence.

The ideal candidate will :

  • Have experience of teaching a person-centred curriculum in new and innovative ways
  • Have a recognised teaching qualification and experience.
  • Experience of working with and teaching learners with learning difficulties/disabilities and/or challenging behaviour
  • Able to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment to underpin high levels of achievement for all learners
  • Exposure / Experience with ESTYN & CIW (preferred)
