Apprenticeship Trainer/Assessor
Pertemps is excited to be partnering with a growing and successful training provider based in Yorkshire. To support their continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Trainer/Skills Coach to deliver and support apprenticeship learners in Quality standards.
This organisation specialises in delivering apprenticeships in key areas of Quality and Continuous Improvement, offering Apprenticeship Training Programmes such as Quality Practitioner, Lean Improvement Practitioner, and Health, Safety, and Environmental. As an Apprenticeship Trainer/Skills Coach, you can expect:

The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Trainer/Mentor in Quality and Lean Management to join a dynamic team. You will be responsible for delivering training and coaching to apprenticeship learners in Quality Management, Lean methodologies, Process Improvement, and Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, both remotely and in person. Your role will be vital in helping learners achieve their qualifications and meet their professional aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver training on Quality Management principles and methodologies, both remotely and face-to-face.
• Provide personalised coaching to support learners in applying process improvement and optimisation techniques.
• Guide learners towards successfully completing their qualifications through regular remote coaching sessions.
• Occasionally travel to meet learners and deliver in-person training sessions at the Head Office in South Yorkshire.
• Ensure all training and coaching meets the expectations of learners and their employers.
• Offer high-quality coaching and support, helping learners stay on track to complete their apprenticeships.
• Deliver engaging training sessions, both remotely and in-person, within your area of expertise.
• Monitor and assess learner progress through regular reviews and coaching sessions.
• Provide guidance on key competencies, ensuring learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed for their qualifications.
• Collaborate with employers and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to each learner’s development.
• Support learners in functional skills development when necessary.
• Ensure all training aligns with compliance and quality standards set by awarding bodies.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of Quality Management principles and process improvement techniques.
• Experience in Lean Management and Health and Safety.
• A recognised teaching qualification (such as an Award in Education and Training, Assessor’s Award, or equivalent) is highly desirable, but the company will put the successful candidate through this.
• Vocational competence in Quality Management, Lean Management, or Health and Safety. A Six Sigma qualification would be highly desirable.
• A minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2.
• Knowledge and experience of government-funded training programmes, particularly apprenticeships.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
• Willingness to travel as required.
