Job Description

The School and Role

Vision for Education are currently recruiting on behalf of Cascade for a Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis for the full academic year. You will be required to support the class teacher and work with children in Key Stage 1. The school have requested a minimum of a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant and with experience of Read, Write, Inc Phonics Programme. You will be responsible for providing general classroom assistant support and small intervention groups with children who require extra support in English.

The primary school is a large primary school in North Sheffield. There are 3 classes for each year group from Reception to Year 6. The school also has 2 large nurseries supporting children from 2-year-old. The school is part of the Cascade Multi-Academy Trust.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience of working with KS1 and primary school aged children

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND

  • Available to work on a full-time basis.

  • The ability to work as part of a team.
