Teaching Assistant with ELSA - Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant with ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) experience to join a welcoming secondary school in Southampton. This full-time role is to start immediately and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted emotional literacy support to students, both one-to-one and in small groups.
- Assist in the classroom across a range of subjects, supporting learning and behaviour.
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to identify and support students with emotional and social needs.
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
- ELSA training or demonstrable experience in emotional literacy support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Available to start immediately and work full-time.
