About the Role:
Equitas are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming SEN secondary school. This is a full-time, temporary role where you ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in and outside of the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Help manage classroom behavior and support students emotional and social development.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt learning materials and strategies for individual students.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an SEN setting is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic approach and a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
