Teaching Assistant
Location: Weoley Castle, Birmingham, B29
Weekly Pay: 455 - 480
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term time only)
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
Long Term Futures is recruiting for a committed and reliable Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 class in a welcoming school in Weoley Castle. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, with the potential to go permanent.
What the role involves:
- Supporting learning and maintaining engagement across the school day
- Providing consistent and firm behaviour support in line with school expectations
- Working with small groups or individuals needing extra guidance
- Acting as a steady, positive presence in the classroom
- Building strong relationships and offering mentoring-style support
What the school is looking for:
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year working in a primary school classroom
- Skills: Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- Extras: Experience supporting pupils with SEN is a bonus
