Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Medical & SEND Support)

Start Date: End of November 2025 (subject to confirmation)
Location: Birkenhead, CH42
School: Ofsted Rated 'Good' Secondary School
Contract: Full-time (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive daily rate (paid weekly via PAYE)
Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide full-time one-to-one support for a student with specific medical and personal care needs at a well-regarded secondary school in Birkenhead (CH42). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a student's educational journey while working in a supportive and welcoming school environment.

Key Requirements:
Valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience supporting colostomy and bladder bag care
Experience with feeding tubes and awareness of feeding safety protocols
Previous experience supporting students with SEND needs, particularly those with communication or emotional health needs
A caring, patient, and professional approach to student support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
