The Role - Full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a Full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 4 student at a primary school in Kings Heath. This role will begin immediately and run until May half term, with the possibility of an extension until July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 student, helping with their academic progress.
- Assist the student in managing and understanding challenging behaviour.
- Help deliver lessons, particularly in areas such as English and Maths, tailored to the student's needs.
- Work closely with teachers to implement strategies for the student's emotional and behavioural support.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor and support the student's progress.
About You:
- Experience as a full-time teaching assistant or similar role.
- Strong academic background, especially in English and Maths, and knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Patient, proactive, and able to handle challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
- Based in or near Kings Heath and available full-time until at least May half term.
