Your new role
A warm, community-focused primary school in Smethwick is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing Early Years team. The school offers a supportive environment where staff work collaboratively to give children the very best start to their education. The Nursery setting is well resourced, child-centred, and provides a rich mix of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be working within the Nursery provision, supporting the class teacher and taking responsibility for a small group of children during sessions. The role requires someone confident, caring, and proactive, who can contribute to a positive and engaging Early Years environment.
You will need:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Experience leading or supporting an EYFS group
- Confidence in carrying out personal care duties, including nappy changing and feeding
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Nursery Teacher while also using your own initiative
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's development
