Teaching Assistant Islington, N5 90- 105 per day Full Time Long-Term to Permanent ASAP Start.

LTF Recruitment are partnered with an Outstanding one form entry Primary School in Islington who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team od dedicated support staff this new school year. This a long-term to permanent role, for the academic year at the minimum with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

Role Overview:

  • Morning: You will work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing focused support and helping the child access learning in a structured and nurturing environment.
  • Afternoon: You will assist the Year 1 class, providing general classroom support to the teacher and students, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the individual learning needs of a child with ASD in Year 3.
  • Help implement the pupil's individual education plan (IEP) and support communication and social development.
  • Assist with group activities, phonics, and other learning tasks in the Year 1 classroom.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with ASD, is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
