Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a forward-thinking college in Hounslow to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in January 2026. This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting secondary-aged students with behavioural needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies
- Support students' academic progress and emotional wellbeing
Person Specification
- Experience supporting students with behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Passion for supporting young people to succeed
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree-level qualification (Education or related subject preferred)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Overseas police checks (if applicable)
- Professional references
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am - 4:00pm
