We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our young learners.

Role Overview:
As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our Early Years team to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will involve providing one-on-one and small group support, implementing tailored learning strategies, and helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure each child's individual needs are met and to support their developmental progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to children with SEN, including those with physical, emotional, or learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging children's social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to monitor and assess students' progress and adapt support as needed.
  • Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with parents and external agencies to support the child's development and learning goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly within an EYFS or SEN setting.
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework and SEN provisions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education, SEN qualifications, or equivalent experience).
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a dedicated and supportive team committed to making a difference.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • A warm and welcoming school environment with a focus on inclusion and respect.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

How to Apply:
If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the lives of young learners with SEN, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your most up to date CV as soon as possible.
