The post is temporary initially with the possibility of it becoming a permanent position depending on the need of the school. The post is 22 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only and will include covering as a mealtime assistant. Anticipated start date 2nd January 2024.
As a Teaching Assistant you will need to be calm but firm and enjoy working with children, having a minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English. Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant, NVQ2 or NVQ3 would be ideal. We are looking for someone who can continue to liaise and build relationships with parents and families and, therefore, good and courteous communication skills are a necessity. The curriculum work will be prepared by the teacher and as with all teaching assistant posts you may be required to work throughout all areas of the school.
