Job Description

Career Teachers have partnered with a Primary School in Bexley, who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant.

They are looking for a TA who is available to start the role ASAP, and continue for the full academic year.

  • Term time only
  • Monday to Friday
  • Working 8:30am to 4pm

This role will see you providing support to a child in Key Stage 1, who has SEND. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be effective in supporting them with their learning both inside and outside of the classroom. You will need to adapt your approach dependant on their needs, which may sometimes involve moving to a different area of the school and doing different activities to the rest of the class.

You will need to be skilled at forming good working relationships, and you will need to be able to communicate effectively with the Teacher, SENCO and parents/guardians.

Ideally, you will have some previous experience of working with children who have Autism, and be able to draw on different strategies, activities and approaches, to ensure the best outcomes for the child.

Knowledge and experience of the Key Stage 1 curriculum will be very important in this role. You will ideally have worked with children in Key Stage 1 previously.
