Tempest Education are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to join a primary school in Bexley.
Teaching Assistant - The Primary School:
This primary school in Bexley is a two-form entry primary school with easy transport links and suitable parking. As a teaching assistant, you must have the ability to work as an effective team member, be well organised and have the ability to communicate with children and adults in a constructive and effective way.
As a teaching assistant, your main responsibility will be working with small groups of children as well as supporting children on a one-to-one basis. This role will include working alongside the class teacher and other teaching assistants within the class/school. The year group you will be designated in will be either the Year 5 or Year 6 class.
Having education experience will help to further support your application. However, experience with SEN is highly considered. This position is perfect for someone who is pro-active, enthusiastic and can use their initiative when needed.
The successful Teaching Assistant must have:
- Experience working within a primary school
- Experience within education
- Experience of working with or caring for children
- Strong desire to work with children with SEN
- Be committed to promoting high standards in learning
- A clear DBS
Main Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Working alongside the class teacher
- Working with small groups of children
- Supporting children on a one-to-one basis
- Helping children with their English and Maths
- Be enthusiastic and motivated
Teaching Assistant - Additional information:
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30am - 3:30pm
- 88 - 95 per day
- Long term / permanent contract
