Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

Destination Education is looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a brilliant specialist 11-19 co-education academy based in North London.

The ideal Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will join a team of staff that excels at making sure all their students feel special and receive high-quality care and attention. This academy has been judged 'outstanding' in three successive OFSTED inspections, as well as, being awarded Advanced Status by the Autism Accreditation Award Committee of the National Autistic Society.

 

The Role of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Offering support and guidance to help pupils increase their confidence and independence.
  • Assist students with special needs, ensuring they have access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, equipment and materials etc.
  • Support the teacher with implementing specific teaching programmes.

 

The Requirements of a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Passion for working with children in education.
  • Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students and staff; treating them with respect and consideration.
