SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Longsight, Manchester (M12)
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday
Start Date: September 2026
A supportive Primary School in Longsight, Manchester is recruiting a compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs across the school.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
The Role Includes:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Supporting learning, communication and emotional development
- Assisting teachers in adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Encouraging independence and positive behaviour strategies
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
- Be calm, patient and adaptable in their approach
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be passionate about helping children succeed
- Work well as part of a supportive school team
