Prospero Teaching are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Crosby who are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a TA with experience supporting children with additional needs who is passionate about making a positive difference in the classroom.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups
Working with children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and other additional needs
Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting learning activities
Supporting EHCP targets and behaviour management strategies
Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or care setting)
A calm, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
