Are you experienced in supporting children with complex special educational needs?
We're working with a welcoming primary school in the B16 area of Birmingham that is looking for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a dedicated high needs SEN group from September.
You will play a key role in delivering tailored interventions and supporting a small group of pupils with significant additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and communication difficulties.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide group and 1:1 support to pupils with high-level SEN.
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual EHCP targets.
- Support behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation needs.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to deliver personalised plans.
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
- Confident working with pupils with high needs, including non-verbal or behaviourally complex children.
- Calm, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
