Are you experienced in supporting children with complex special educational needs?

We're working with a welcoming primary school in the B16 area of Birmingham that is looking for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a dedicated high needs SEN group from September.

You will play a key role in delivering tailored interventions and supporting a small group of pupils with significant additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and communication difficulties.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and 1:1 support to pupils with high-level SEN.
  • Adapt learning activities to suit individual EHCP targets.
  • Support behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation needs.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to deliver personalised plans.
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Confident working with pupils with high needs, including non-verbal or behaviourally complex children.
  • Calm, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
  • A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
  • Trial days instead of formal interviews to ensure the right fit.
  • Access to free CPD training, including Understanding Autism, Behaviour Management, and further professional development/refreshers.

  2. Initial Call - Our team will discuss your experience and preferences.
