Smart Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and supportive primary school in West Bromwich that is seeking seven dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from September. These roles are available across different year groups within the school and offer the chance to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs. The roles are varied and involve working with children who have a range of needs including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Global Developmental Delay
- Speech and Language Difficulties
- Non-verbal Communication Needs
Candidates with additional skills such as Makaton and PECS are highly encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year s experience working in a UK primary school setting.
- At least 6 months experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
- A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to learning support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs.
