SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne and surrounding areas
Role Type: Flexible - Full-time, Part-time and permanent SEN Teaching Assistant Jobs available
Age Range: Key Stage 1 (KS1) - Key Stage 5 (KS5)

Rate of Pay: 90 to 120 per day

What You'll Need:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASC, SEMH, or complex learning needs, is preferred but not essential

  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach

  • Ability to work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

  • Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous but not essential

  • Early Career Teachers / Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply



Your Responsibilities May Include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in class or in small group interventions

  • Assisting pupils with tasks according to their EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)

  • Supporting literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum-based learning
