Tradewind Recruitment, Manchester's leading education agency, is seeking an experienced and dedicated KS2 Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in South Manchester.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Autism, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to help them achieve their full potential in a highly supportive and inclusive school environment.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 support for KS2 pupils with Autism
Deliver small group interventions tailored to individual learning needs
Support pupils' academic progress, emotional development, and independence
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Experienced supporting children with Autism, ideally within KS2
Proactive and able to use initiative
Patient, nurturing, and understanding
Supportive, reliable, and committed
Confident delivering targeted interventions
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting SEN
Strong understanding of Autism and effective support strategies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
