Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: 95 - 125 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barnet from January 2026. The school has an excellent reputation for inclusion and provides a supportive, nurturing environment for pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, and a range of learning difficulties.
This role is perfect for someone patient, proactive, and compassionate, who is committed to helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist with tailored learning activities and positive behaviour strategies
Encourage pupils to build independence, communication, and confidence
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEN team to ensure consistent progress
What You'll Need
Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or youth setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive and nurturing approach to supporting young learners
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
