SEMH Teaching Assistant Required - Immediate Start
Location: Warrington Contract: Full-time, Long-term
A primary school in Warrington is looking for a passionate and reliable Social, Emotional Mental Health SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
About the role:
Working closely with a pupil who requires additional SEMH support.
Using tailored strategies to help them regulate emotions and behaviour.
Adapting learning activities to make sure the curriculum is accessible.
Building a safe, inclusive environment where the child can thrive and gain confidence.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs (primary school experience is ideal).
A calm and patient manner, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
Understanding of behaviour management approaches.
A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning would be beneficial, but not essential.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
