Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets

Salary: £85-£100 per day

Start Date: Immediately

Contract Type: Long Term

Working Hours: 08:30 am to 03:45 pm

GSL Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant for our client Primary School in Tower Hamlets.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the emotional, social, and mental health needs of our Year 3 students. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, implementing tailored interventions, and fostering a nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one support for Year 3 students with SEMH needs

Implementing tailored interventions to support students' emotional well-being

Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to create inclusive learning environments

Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons to meet individual needs

Building positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies

SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs

A flexible and adaptable approach to working with different children

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient and empathetic nature

Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN (desirable but not essential)

Can travel daily to Tower Hamlets
