A Torfaen School are looking for a Teaching Assistant / TA with expertise in Additional Learning Needs / ALN. We are thrilled to be collaborating with this school, which has a multicultural and welcoming working environment with a sizeable proportion of ALN students. The school exudes warmth and compassion, and it features a Learning Resource Base / LRB to aid with students' academic advancement. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant / TA with Additional Learning Needs / ALN specialism to cover day to day, short term and long term placements supporting children in and out of the classroom. This is a great chance to gain an vital experience and to work as a Teaching Assistant / TA with Additional Learning Needs / ALN specialism within a warm, exciting and inclusive environment.

The ideal Teaching Assistant / TA should have the following:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment.
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcome.
  • Experience and/ or qualifications exemplifying Additional Learning Needs awareness and experience.
  • Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
