Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary School)
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assist small groups of SEN students within the classroom setting
- Implement personalized learning plans and strategies to support student development
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress, adapting support as necessary
- Foster a supportive and positive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational development of students with SEN
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
