Lecturer in Science (0.5 FTE)

Salary: Up to £35,731 per annum (FTE, will be pro-rata based on 0.5 FTE)

Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)

The vacancy

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Science to join our Health, Science and Education Faculty. The Science department offers a range of science courses which include 

  • Level 3 Lab Technician Apprenticeship 

  • Access to HE-Science 

  • GCSE Biology 

  • T Levels in Health and Science 

The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge in all aspects of science and have a keen interest in chemistry and physics. 

There are part time opportunities available and flexible working can be considered for this role. 

Experience in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience will be considered for those with the ambition of becoming an outstanding Lecturer. Fareham College will offer free teacher training to those wishing to enter the teaching profession

The salary bandings are £21,600 - £31,119 per annum (FTE) for unqualified applicants and £24,840 - £35,731 per annum (FTE) for qualified applicants. -
