Here at S Knights Recruitment, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Safeguarding and Prevent Manager.
The chosen candidates will serve as the Designated Safeguarding Leads, ensuring staff are well-equipped, actively advocating for safeguarding and learner support throughout the organisation, and promptly addressing learner needs. This position will directly report to the Skills & Quality Director, it will be a hybrid role working from home and in offices around the East Midlands on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Our client is an award-winning Employability and Skills Training Provider, dedicated to supporting individuals with key knowledge and skills through education. They are an Ofsted grade 2 provider and have the learners at the heart of what they do, having supported over 50,000 people over their 20 years of trading.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Safeguarding Strategy to ensure the safety of both learners and staff.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Provide timely and informative safeguarding reports to the Board.
- Manage and update Safeguarding & Prevent risk assessments and action plans for the organisation.
- Handle, resolve, and monitor cases, including those of a complex nature.
- Establish and manage a Safeguarding training schedule, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with business needs.
- Ensure all staff have received and can demonstrate up-to-date Safeguarding & Prevent training.
- Coordinate with external agencies, attend relevant meetings, and offer guidance to internal staff.
- Devise adaptable Safeguarding solutions to meet various contractual requirements within the business and its partnerships.
- Stay abreast of statutory guidance and policy changes, disseminating updates across the organisation regularly.
- Foster effective internal and external relationships to support the delivery of the Safeguarding and Prevent Agenda for learners.
Experience and Skills
- Stong understanding and knowledge of the Employability and Skills Sector
- Previous experience working in a similar role working with safeguarding and prevent.
- Knowledge of the Ofsted rules, regulations and expectations
- Great communication and IT literate
- A relevant qualification in safeguarding and prevent.
