Are you passionate about early years education? Desian Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a Reception class in a welcoming Wallasey primary school.
The role
We are looking for a general classroom teaching assistant to work part-time in a vibrant and supportive Reception class. This long-term position offers consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community.
The working hours of this role are Monday-Friday 8.30am-12.30pm term time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activities
- Assisting with early maths and literacy development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills
- Helping to prepare resources and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
- Providing one-to-one or small group support when needed
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an early years setting (private day nursery or primary school setting)
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Desian Education)
- Relevant EYFS qualification
