Location: Sparkhill, B11 Birmingham

Are you a nurturing and experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for SEND? A vibrant Birmingham primary school is looking for a Level 3 qualified practitioner to support children in Reception with additional needs such as EAL, SALCN, and developmental delays.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in the Early Years setting and wants to make a lasting difference through targeted SEND support.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support Reception pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Adapt learning activities to support speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
  • Assist pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to access learning and settle into routines.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and monitor progress.
  • Encourage social development, independence, and positive behaviour.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in EYFS with additional needs including EAL, SLCN, or global delay.
  • A calm, patient approach and strong understanding of child development.
  • Confidence in delivering interventions and supporting communication development.
