Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 5 Primary School Teacher to join a lovely, welcoming and inclusive school in Southampton (SO15). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Year 5/6, managing complex behaviour, and supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on our students' learning and development.
As a Primary School Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Year 5 students.
- Manage complex behaviour effectively, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students with SEND, implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and reports.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Year 5/6 students.

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
