Role: PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full Time
Rate: 90 - 105 per day
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Location: SE26, South East London
We are looking for a fantastic PMLD/ASD Support Assistant in Sydenham to at one of our leading SEN secondary school in South East London work with children you'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. The PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant role will require you to help students with their vocational studies and their progression to further education.
As a PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant you will be interacting with students with a wide range of learning difficulties. Students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.
PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant Ideal Candidate:
- A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
- Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.
- To be patient when working with the children.

- Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid and welfare.
PMLD/ASD Teaching Assistant Standard Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD.
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) professional reference checks.
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
