Are you passionate about Science and skilled at helping students succeed? We're looking for dedicated online Science Tutors to support our cohort of GCSE students in the lead-up to their exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in young people's academic journeys.
You'll provide supplementary tuition in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science) to students preparing for their GCSEs. Sessions will be delivered online, with hours tailored to suit both tutor and student availability.
About you:
- Strong understanding of the GCSE Science curriculum
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK school setting as a:
- HLTA
- Cover Supervisor
- Teaching Assistant
- Teacher
- Tutor
- Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Ability to build rapport and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
As an online Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective online Science tuition
- Support students in building subject knowledge and exam confidence
- Tailor sessions to meet individual learning needs and goals
- Track progress and provide feedback to support continued development

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Expertise with the Science curriculum
- Experience of working with learners with SEN

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
