Job Description

We are seeking specialist Maths Tutors to provide online support to our cohort of GCSE students in preparation for their upcoming exams. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

You'll deliver supplementary tuition in GCSE Maths, tailored to individual student needs. Sessions are conducted online, with flexible scheduling to accommodate both tutor and student availability.



As an online Maths Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective online Maths tuition
  • Support students in developing key numeracy skills and exam techniques
  • Tailor sessions to meet individual learning needs and goals
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback



About you:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE Maths curriculum
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK school setting as a:
    • HLTA
    • Cover Supervisor
    • Teaching Assistant
    • Teacher
    • Tutor
  • Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Ability to build rapport and adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

    Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

        • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
        • Expertise with the Maths curriculum
        • Experience of working with learners with SEN

    To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

    • Hold right to work in the UK
    • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
    • Provide references upon request
    • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
