Are you a passionate Maths graduate looking to gain experience in education? Do you want to support students in developing their maths skills and inspire their love for the subject? We are seeking a motivated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Tower Hamlets, working closely with students and teachers to enhance learning in maths classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in Maths lessons, providing one-to-one and small group support.
- Help students to understand complex concepts and improve their problem-solving skills.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with students of varying abilities, including those who may need extra support to achieve their goals.
- Contribute to a positive and productive classroom environment, helping students to build confidence in their mathematical abilities.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Maths or a related subject (or at least an AS-level in Maths is essential).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- A positive and patient attitude, with a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
