Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive primary school team in Stourbridge. If you are passionate about supporting children's learning and development, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the needs of all learners are met.

  • Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups of children, both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their specific needs are met.

  • Run and support interventions designed to improve literacy, numeracy, or social and emotional skills.

  • Assist with classroom management and ensuring a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.

  • Help monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.

  • Promote positive behaviour, supporting children s social and emotional development.

  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Is confident and experienced in providing 1:1 support for children with SEN, as well as running interventions.

  • Is enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about working with young children.

  • Has a good understanding of the curriculum and supporting children with a range of needs.

  • Is patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
